Today we had the last of our swimming lessons at the pool. We went by bus today as it was a bit frosty. We have really enjoyed our swimming lessons, and we are sad that it is over!

As part of International Children's Day, we took part in a flower arranging workshop with the ladies from Teach Oscail. It was brilliant. We made a Christmas flower centrepiece, using ivy, holly and flowers, and put a beautiful candle in the middle. When the workshop was over we were able to bring our centrepiece home.

As part of Science Week, we took part in an animal presentation on Monday 13th. Two visitors from Animal Conservation came over from England, and gave a presentation on animals. They brought some animals for us to look at and even hold, for example giant snails, bearded dragons and snakes. They also had elephant tusks and snake skins. They told us about protecting endangered species. It was a great presentation.

Today we dressed up for Halloween. Our class was full of strange and spooky characters. We had a Cheerios breakfast, and gave a donation to the ISPCC. We are having a party today as well. Unfortunately, we will also be having our Friday test. Now THAT'S scary!

On Thursday we visited the County Library. It was a lovely sunny morning and we enjoyed the walk. We had a lovely time reading books on the comfortable seats in the library. We saw the huge painting of Gulliver in Lilliput, which we had read about this week in English. We hope to visit the library again soon.
